In Croatian Republic of The Hague — “new” president

In Croatian Republic of The Hague* — “new” president

We seem to have been very poorly informed about current president of Croatia Ivo Josipovic. Well, none of them “succeeded” without HDZ…

In fact, only now I read that Ivo Josipovic became Dr of Law in 1994 (the war-time) , that he was “a member of the State Commission on War Crimes and a Croatian Government observer at the International Tribunal on War Crimes; member of the Parliamentary committees on legislation and justice; member of the [HDZ run] Conflict of Interest Commission.” He was awarded with “Seven Secretaries’ of the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia”(in communist Yugoslavia) but also “decorated with the Order of the Croatian Morning Star with the image of Marko Marulic” (Obviously, by HDZ government).

His biography I copied from “Nacional” (close to him, so they wouldn’t lie against him) doesn’t give the dates for the above info, for they would show how bi-partial political system (HDZ and SDP) works in Croatia… They’re all “antifascists” (read Bolsheviks, communists or “reformed democrats”). He rose up from “reformed communists” party SDP (Social democrats) but obviously closely tied to “reformed democrats” of HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union).

Hence, only about the elections we were informed by pro-Croatian Internet media that he “wrote the indictments against our generals” and as we can see, he worked for HDZ government and was decorated for it.

But even if Josipovic did write those indictments (Serb Savo Strbac claimed that “honour” previously) – he obviously worked for the government (HDZ’s one).

Meanwhile, Serbian President Tadic, in view of Croatian generals’ liberation from accusations for the Storm, intensifies his meetings with the – Americans! American judges at the ICTY and so… Thus he confirms that the central issue in the Storm is Belgrade’s appetite for expansion and aggression and not local Serbs as they pretend it to be.

Whatever it is, it’s“continuity” (of communist rule).  “Croatian” Josipovic … he attacked the “fascists” in Croatia right away at his overtaking of the power in Croatia– the accusation that served to Yugoslav communist army and Serbs to mobilize their people in the wars against Croatia, Bosnia etc. in the 1990s (why they don’t forbid such incitements to the violence with false and exaggerated accusations instead of speaking of “fascists” more than half a century after… although we can see nothing in “The Republic” that resembles them).

Yet all this “democracy” is a bit too suspicious, isn’t it…

Meanwhile, I noted again that the number of “chased Serbs” by the 1995 Storm, although most of them returned to Croatia already, rose in some media (French, Serb, Canadian etc.) to “half a million”! Serbs were initially writing it was 100,000, then as time goes on, it was suddenly 120,000, 150,000, 200,000, 2500,000, 300,000, and 350,000 but half-a-million demands already a complex formula for exponential function of their propaganda.

Not to mention again and again that many Serbs were deployed in The Republic of Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina prior to the war (since mid-80s at least) so to start it, and that they withdrew with their civilians on the order of Serb leadership so to grab half of Bosnia and Herzegovina! – exactly as they did, for the first time in the history, across Drina river.

They demand, now from the ICTY, more “compensation” for aggression, and why not with such “liberators” in Croatian politics and such “human rights” in the world… Serbia’s president demands that others be accused. He represents an interest party that caused so much destruction in Serbia’s neighbouring countries. He hasn’t learned anything from Milosevic? Anyhow, he has Josipovic to help him out….

 * Josipovic at his inauguration ceremony refused to mention “Croatia” in his pledge to the “Republic”.
