SOS FOR GOSPIC: From “Antisemitism” to “War Crimes” to Israel “investment”

SOS FOR GOSPIC

From “Antisemitism” to “War Crimes” to Israel “investment”

(All this for 60 mil. Kunas?)

The world press is all too familiar with the case of General Norac, the youngest Croatian war-time colonel, and finally the general, who is best known for his defense of Gospic in Lika, Croatia, against Yugoslav “National” (communist/Serb) Army and paramilitary Serb units (Chetniks). He saved Gospic from Vukovar fate, which would be total destruction.

Gen Norac is one of those rare high officials who earned his rank not through his “political” loyalty in secure, comfortable offices, but through the fierce battles against the 4th strongest European military power that attacked Croatia in the early 1990s.

We can hardly hear of Yugoslav army officers being responsible, not to mention their being tried, for war crimes, but General Mirko Norac went through a strange transformation from a hero into a war criminal in “peace-time” Croatia… Like many others afterwards….

First, General Norac was falsely associated with diversions in Zagreb’s Mirogoj cemetery, while the partisans’ monument, as well as synagogue and other objects, were mined by Yugoslav secret services, whose goal was to present Croatia as a fascist state that should not be recognized by the international community (which, however, happened, on 15th Jan 1992). Indeed, the perpetuators of those crimes are found in “Labrador” group during Milosevic trial.

Yet, the “war crimes”, which Croatian politicians couldn’t even define, managed to remove Gen Norac, under the pressure of the ICTY, and even condemn him based on imported proofs from Serbia (!), through scandalous trials. He’s condemned to a never defined term – in Croatia! A great sign of “democracy.”

It would be even harder to define the amount of money Croatian ministries spent on the so-called “reconstruction and development” of Gospic area (there still should be the ministry with such a name, not to mention the funds of the Ministry of defense devoted to that purpose in the second half of the 1990s!).

Yet, only Israel manages to “develop” Gospic area in “ecological zone”: They announce 60 million kunas investments so to begin “geo-hydrological research, the research on use of electricity and gaz, and producing the studies about the influence on the environment.” (Jutarnji list, 14 Jan 2010) I don’t know where in the world such a beautiful country can be sold out so cheaply, its heroes first destroyed through the most humiliating processes, but we all know, the businessmen don’t make an offer just like that. They must have had their eye on Gospic for a long time.

Is Zadar the next? Knowing even more non-sense accusations against General Gotovina… Some also tried to present him as an “extremist” first, but we all know what it means…

“ELECTIONS”

At the recent presidential elections that yielded the orthodox communist Josipovic as the “winner”, “the richest ex-Yugoslavian president” as they call him,  he won on “anticorruption” program! He became that rich thanks to his coop with the ICTY! Only now, we are informed that he even composed the indictments. We never heard of him before, but he suddenly popped out at the elections, with the heaviest money bag, and won. His father was a “prominent” communist fighter in the WWII, known for killing Croats.

No wonder: Croatia had to choose, for a third time (!) a “lesser evil”: Mate Granic in 1999/2000 (he lost, anyway, but the “winners” continued his politics); Ivo Sanader, who lied in the first mandate at Norac rally in Split, before hundreds of thousands people, that no one would try our heroes, and was awarded for his treason, since only the evil is awarded in today’s Croatia, with the second mandate, “against communists”; and now we were asked, for the third time, to vote for a “saviour” Milan Bandic who didn’t even lie about not trying Croatian heroes, but wrote in his program for “Diaspora”, that on the cooperation with the ICTY depended Croatia’s “credibility”, “seriousness” and so on! And must be continued.

I was insulted and asked not to write any more (portrayal of 7 year-situation with Croatian “elites” – they’d rather silence us down) at a prominent Croatian site (by 1-3 anonymous individuals) when I quoted Bandic’s loyalty to the ICTY, so paradoxical to his pro-defenders speach; the same story as with Sanader: one must not even quote them as it might question the absurdity of Croatian “elections.” Others justify such “choices” with the fact that Sanader or Bandic wouldn’t be removing the crosses from the public offices. I understand them, I’m against the removal of the Crosses in Catholic countries, too, but I am confused: what the Cross means with such politicians. Please forgive me , but I trusted more in the Cross in General Norac’s and general Gotovina’s hands than in that in Bandic’s offices, who are building the synagogues in Zagreb, or in others selling even Gospic to Israel!

Finally, the new president Josipovic refused the Ministry of Interior’s protection (MUP). He’d rely on the Army (NATO?). Is it a sign of “democracy”, too, or militarization of the public offices, under foreign control? Most significantly, MUP’s Minister Karamarko (also from the former Yugoslav services) stated that the police was the most competent to determine who should guard the president. (“U policiji kažu da samo struka može odlučiti tko će čuvati predsjednika jer ga moraju čuvati najbolji ljudi”, JL, 15 Jan 2010.)

Frankly, 12 Croatian generals, who opposed criminalization of the Homeland war (without opposing prosecution of the incidents), stating that it would delegitimize Croatian defense – which is clearly the issue of the national security strategy, were – retired as “politicians generals”! They had no right to express their competence. It happened “in the General Inspectorate, the seat of General Gotovina”, stressed their enemy (Soros founded publications, Aim, France).

And we see today why. Croatia is betrayed and sold out. I see no point in voting for the “lesser evil”.

God save Croatia! But Save those Men, too.

Even cheaper was Bosnia sold!
